Applications

Whether it be a quick check after a business lunch, a peach (Peace) of mind device for newly licenced teenagers, or an essential tool for screening staff at dangerous worksites, the AlcoVUE has you covered.

Workplace health and safety

  • Staff safety is paramount on all worksites. Use AlcoVUE for entry point testing, remote location spot checks and regular in-house screening. Applications include mining, logistics, manufacturing and agriculture.

Law enforcement and correctional facilities

  • Designed for accurate fast readings in all conditions where BAC% is required such as roadside testing, and where zero tolerance is to be maintained such as zero-tolerance regulated facilities. AlcoVUE is in constant use with organisations across Australia. The device has long-term stability, platinum electrochemical sensor (the standard in police issued breath testers).

Hospitals and rehabilitation clinics

  • AlcoVUE is implemented by many Government and Private Health sector facilities nationally.

  • Staff have high confidence thanks to not only accuracy and reliability, but the ease of use in difficult situations.

Personal use

  • Quickly check your BAC reading before hitting the road after a business lunch or a weekend that was a little excessive.

Features

  • Platinum electrochemical fuel cell

By using a platinum electrochemical sensor with long term stability (the standard in police issued breath testers) to measure the concentration of alcohol from the sample of the expired breath from a human subject, a corresponding voltage is generated from the fuel cell, which is directly proportional to the alcohol content of the sample provided.

Having a high specificity to alcohol, the fuel cell is not influenced by acetone or other breath substances. The long term stability of the sensor means you can count on accurate results year after year*.

  • Passive and direct operational modes

The AlcoVUE® offers both quantitative (direct) and qualitative (passive) sampling. This means it can display either the breath alcohol reading in any of the commonly used units of measurement eg mg/L, % BAC, mg/100ml, mg/ml etc, or a simple pass / fail mode for zero-tolerance environments.
